Hot Texas Summers
The heat this weekend kept insects and humans busy trying to cool off. The bugs stayed in the shade out of sight. I did get a few decent shots of the male Eastern Black Swallowtail I raised from an egg. When I released him, he sunned himself just long enough to get a few photos.
I also got a few of a Gulf Fritillary that was fluttering about drinking nectar. He was willing to cooperate and let me get near.
And last but not least a very tiny unknown species of beetle that I will be researching and searching for his ID.
Stay tuned for the next batch of bug photos. Have a beautiful day everyone!!
